Medical Director: Dr. Bill Loving, Psychiatrist, specializing in Addictionologist Medical Detoxification program Our program provides a soft landing for patients during the detoxification phase which can last anywhere from 2 to 10 days. During that time the patient receives the following assessments: • Chemical Dependency Assessment • Psychiatric Assessment • Medical History and Physical Evaluation • Nursing Assessment • Social History • Recreational/Leisure Assessment Inpatient Rehabilitation program Based on the outcome of the detoxification phase, a customized care rehabilitation program begins. The length of stay is specific to the patient’s needs. The program contains the following components: • Understanding of the disease • Transitioning into Recovery • The 12 Step Program Education • Spirituality & Recovery • Physical Fitness/Recreation • Family Education • Development of a Sober Support System • A Relapse Prevention Plan • A Plan of continued Recovery • Weekly Alumni Meeting at Texas Star Recovery • Discharge Planning • Referral to medical provider • Connection to a Sponsor & an AA Meeting

Family Program Description

Family Education and Brief Family Therapy. We know that while working with the injured person you must also work with that persons family/support group, so we strongly encourage family involvement.
