The Wick Home for Emotional Growth and Recovery was founded by Mr. Jay Wick and designed by Mr Todd Rosenblatt M.Ed., as a response to the growing need for transitional living before family reunification. Mr. Wick and Mr. Rosenblatt throughout their years of working with troubled teens found that many adolescents having successfully completed higher levels of treatment were not yet ready to return home. Often this was because higher levels of care focused on stabilizing the presenting and acute crisis, such as drug and alcohol dependence. Other times the client was ready for reunification but the family was not. Therefore, the two have created an intense 90 day therapeutic program that addresses the underlying behavior patterns and family dynamics that too often stand in the way of successful family reunification.
