You have to want sobriety and this place will save your life..mainly designed for heroin opiate addicts...it saved my life and have currently gained back my life..unlike other clinics what provides counseling and groups to help deal with the past..any anger towards this clinic is purely misunderstanding .not designed for the average addict..nurse and staff very knowledgeable and helpful but they also following strict federal guidelines ...I would be dead if it weren't for this place and neither my p.o or jail put me here
..if your denied there's a good reason not cause you're not liked..I give thus place a purple heart and two thumbs up....

This place is a total joke. Not there to help people who want or need the help. I know a few people that have gone there and told me that there are very uneducated people there. They don't know how to help people. They have refused service to my son who wanted to go voluntarily. Most of the people that go there are forced to go by a judge or by their P.O. I called and spoke with someone there who would only say she could not discuss anything with me due to the Privacy Act laws. She knows nothing of these laws. This pertains to personal health information, which I was not looking for or asking about. I only wanted to know why my son was refused service and she could not tell me. My son doesn't even know why?? He knows someone who works there that I guess does not like him, but that is no reason to refuse service. I've worked in healthcare for many years, and have known people personally that came to the office I worked at. I could not say, you can't come here because I know you or because I don't like you!! Makes no sense. I asked her to call my son to explain why they were refusing service to him, and she also refused to do that. I also asked to speak with her supervisor, and of course she did not call me back. Again this place is nowhere to go if you want help with addictions. They will not help you!

I had been a suffering opiate addict for quite some time before finding myself in line at the clinic. They dont listen to what you say, they treat every patient the same, they dont know ANYTHING about suboxone OR methadone, they push and push for you to be on methadone so they have a life long customer. It felt more like a high pressure sales pitch than any you would find at a used car dealership or a fancy gym. They really dont care at all about your recovery or how youre doing. Just like every other business in the world, its Money Money MONEY. It is sad that people that need help and truely want to get better have no where to turn except high pressure sales pitch soaked facilities like this one. You become a number- LITERALLY (they address you by your number) and once you show up without money you are no longer a concern to them. you pay $28/day and then if you show up one day with $25 they throw a fit and then down your dosage and leave you withdrawing and miserable. I never became a using patient, I was there for emotional support. Once I was confident in my recovery and had not used for over a year, I stopped going. They continuously call me to get me to come back and to be on suboxone or methadone. I told them I am 100% clean to which they reply that EVERYONE eventually relapses and I need to get on their program and that I will soon be using on the streets if I dont. Well if you ask me, thats about the worst thing you could possibly tell a recovering addict. This place has frustrated me beyond belief. Please stay away from heroin, oxycontin, and all the like. Its just a terrible idea. If you DO happen to become addicted, I am very sorry to hear that and wish you the best of luck. If you go to the clinic in Wausau, be prepared to become a lifelong customer and dont plan on paying for anything else in life because you will need over $700/month to go there.
