I attended Endeavor House substance abuse treatment center in 2006 for 90 days and I would highly recommend anyone who has a substance abuse problem, or someone who is dually diagnosed with a substance abuse problem and mental illness. I went there because I was about to lose my job and had no intentions of staying sober, but after some time there I finally surrendered to the fact that I was an alcoholic and became willing to live a life in recovery. I read the previous review and was surprised to see how much the person had a dislike for the facility. I know that no rehab is perfect, because I have been to three rehabs before Endeavor House. I would not want someone to read the previous review and receive a bias opinion based on one persons experience. I can only speak for myself, but I know other people that have gotten sober at Endeavor House and would highly recommend it to people that they know. I like Endeavor House because they just don't teach you about recovery and your addiction, but require you to practice the suggestions in recovery, ie. sponsor, regular attendance at AA/NA mts, building a network etc. The facilty is located around a large community that is familiar with recovery. I moved 5 minutes away from the facilty when I got out just to stay close to Endeavor House and was welcomed back to in-house meeting weekly. I am currently 4 years sober and owe my recovery to this facility, because this is where it all started. As far as the billing at the facility, I didnt think it was priced any different than the other rehabs I attended, so I dont know what happened regarding the previous review.

I completed the Endeavor House program and to this day am forever grateful for all of the support and guidance I was provided with during my early recovery.

I entered the facility in complete denial and without an understanding of myself and my disease. I spent 90 days in the facility and during that time I was able to heal physically, mentally and spiritually. I was able to find a job and become a productive member of society. I left with tools that helped me to live my life on its terms and not mine. I gained a strong understanding that I was a manipulative, egotisitical arrogant individual who was going to DIE if I continued to believe that my way was the correct way.

My family is forever grateful to Endeavor House for helping to build a strong foundation in my recovery which I am able to build upon as I grow.

I am celebrating multiple years clean which I could have never acheived had I not had the intervention of my family and Endeavor House in my early recovery.

Endeavor House taught me to rely on others for help and know that people care about me for no other than to see people in active addiction recover.

I would not recommend this facility to anyone. Endeavor House personnel will lie to you as far as the length of your stay. They will then involve your family to keep you longer. They will charge in-patient costs to your insurance until that coverage runs out. They will then keep you in-patient, charge the insurance for out-patient, and charge the balance to your credit card...without telling you.

They keep you in treatment until your insurance benefits are completely exhausted. You will them be discharged on-the-spot!!!

Endeavor House will milk every penny from your insurance, leaving you no more coverage to continue with out-patient anywhere else.

Most of the counselors are adequate, but appear unhappy to be working there.
