In contrast to the drama with our economy and the inefficacy of our political system these days, I have some BREAKING NEWS of my own:
In a daring effort to finally attain her life-long dream of independence, my 20 moth old opened the front door AND the super heavy solid wood gate outside our front patio, then dashed to the elevator, only to discover that she was still too short to reach the call button.

kgrohsman I just saw a story on CNN about a new intelligent fingerprint technology that can determine drug use and tobacco use. I wonder if this technology can be used in the future in ignition interlock devices for drug addicts?

Hoping my mother-in-law made it home safely after visiting with us for a few weeks...
And LOVING how amazingly cute my kids are. My 18 mo. Old bumped her head and my 3 year old ran to freezer, got an ice pack and nursed her back to health, asking "is it all better now, Aliyah?" -

Had a super rough morning today. After some time to cry it out, feel sorry for myself, and take responsibility for my feelings, I am feeling much better now.
It's times like these that I really see what a self fulfilling prophecy self-pity can be.
Today I am thankful for my ability to climb from the hole I was in this morning.
findhelp thank you for sharing... you're allowed to have tough times emotionally... Life isn't all roses and sunshine for MOST people, addict or not... Cut yourself some slack... it's how we pick ourselves up and move forward that matters307 days ago -
kgrohsman Ha! I just realized that my kids (spoiled as they are) are super-awesome only because we placed discipline (no hitting or spanking) over coddling.

Proud of my 3 yr old for understanding that her body heals itself and she doesn't always need medicine. She used to get an "owie" and ask for medicine, but now she runs for the ice pack.
Still trying to wain her from the band-aids, but she's getting it. -
