Our codependency has adversely affested out finalcial, physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual welfare in horribly negative ways.
We write here in order to offer experience, strength and hope to others who share our disease, and as a means to growing ourselves through the 12 steps.

Sounds like whay I have heard spoken at literally thousands of Al-Anon meeting! You might try making a gratitude list for the fact that both you and your "qualifier" have survived so far. Where there is breath, there is life.

We are amazed that so many on the AA side have no knowledge of such issues as the roles typically played by children in dysfunctional households. So many who have read our book are reporting back so many "A-HAAAA" moments. That is so gratifying.
One Al-Anon long-time member read our whole book out loud to her husband while they traveled in their RV. He has years in AA, came home and told me how much he got out of it.
There are always un-intended consequences. Most often they are positive now!
